Fulfillment,
not profit
Off Trail On Track is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We have been issuing micro grants since 2017 to support diversity, education, and wilderness conservation.
2021-2022 Focus: Heal Our Healers
Off Trail On Track is launching a series of outdoor retreats designed to help frontline healthcare workers feel rested, seen, loved, and rejuvenated.
Why we do what we do
Since 2012, we have been teaching and guiding minimalist backpacking. All of our Mindshift Experiences (wilderness adventures and retreats) are free-of-charge. We also run a free gear and resource lending library to all of our students.
Why? Because we are here to make fulfillment, not profit. Helping other people experience wilderness and reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with nature gives us so much fulfillment.
We believe that the wilderness experience should be available to all socioeconomic, ethnic, and ideological backgrounds.
In 2017, my students, co-guides, and I started to realize that it would add that much more meaning to their personal, transformational journeys if we could raise funding to educate and inspire humans to have better relationships with nature, and to provide access to the wilderness to less fortunate populations. We ought to give back to nature. So we started to raise money to support Environmental and Social Causes.
Causes we have supported since 2017:
